Preparations for the 2018 Annual Meeting entitled ‘Engaging with Communities on the Frontlines‘ are well under way. The overarching theme of this year’s Annual Meeting is how to best leverage the social capital, ingenuity and capacity of communities in the humanitarian response.
Additionally, the Centre of Competence on Humanitarian Negotiation will conduct a series of activities in Asia over the next three weeks. From 30 October – 2 November, we will host two Trainings of Facilitators in Bangkok with a dozen participants from WFP, HD, ICRC among others. From 5-7 November, we will hold an Induction Workshop in Yangon, Myanmar with over 30 field practitioners; and an Advanced Regional Workshop in Kathmandu, Nepal, from 12-16 November.
