Training of Facilitators Program: Session B
18 May 2019 - 19 May 2019

About the program
This two-step program prepares participants to facilitate specific CCHN modules that were designed to serve humanitarian professionals who prepare for and conduct humanitarian negotiations. Participants are further trained in different facilitation techniques and learn to apply case studies and simulation exercises. After completing the two steps, participants are invited to facilitate sessions in practice-oriented workshops organized by the Centre of Competence on Humanitarian Negotiation.
Structure
The program includes two training sessions on how to facilitate effective experiential learning events for humanitarian professionals involved in frontline negotiations. Each session lasts two days:
- Session A: CCHN methodology and tools
- Session B: Facilitation skills
All participants are required to complete sessions A and B in order to qualify for CCHN certification. Participants decide in what order they want to attend the two sessions.
Selection criteria & expectations
The Training of Facilitators Program (ToF) is designed for humanitarian professionals from the five Strategic Partners (WFP, MSF, UNHCR, ICRC, HD) with proven experience in facilitating trainings in the humanitarian sector and in conducting humanitarian negotiations. Humanitarian professionals from other agencies and NGOs are also invited to apply and will be considered depending on availability of places. It is expected that certified participants will facilitate sessions during a minimum of two practice-oriented CCHN events over the following two years.
⚠ Please note that applicants are required to have completed a CCHN workshop before attending TOF Session A.
