This webinar aims to provide an intimate and insightful look into the realities of humanitarian professionals negotiating on the frontlines in one of the world’s most complex crises: the Gaza strip.

This event is designed to discuss the specific negotiation tactics, challenges, and approaches utilised in such a high-stakes environment. By bringing together three experienced negotiators who have recently been active in Gaza, this session aims to foster a deeper understanding within the broader community of practice regarding the nuanced dynamics of humanitarian negotiations in crisis zones. 

Objectives

  • To share real-world experiences, highlighting the resilience and adaptability of negotiators who engage in dialogue under intense conditions.
  • Knowledge sharing: providing valuable insights into the practical aspects of negotiations in a complex crisis such as Gaza, including deconfliction mechanisms and civil-military collaborations.
  • Enhance learning among the global community of frontline negotiators by sharing first-hand experiences and lessons learned.
