Applying for more than one activity
Carefully check the requirements of each CCHN activity that you are applying for. As we have limited places in most of our workshops and sessions, we recommend that you apply for the activity for which you most closely meet the requirements. You may apply for more than one activity if you wish. If you have any questions or difficulties, please contact the event coordinators, whose contact details you will find on each activity page.
Application confirmation by CCHN
We will confirm participation as follows:
- Online participation: no later than 10 days prior to the event.
- Onsite participation: no later than 3 weeks prior to the event.
All registrants will receive a decision regarding their participation by email. If you have not received notification of acceptance or rejection by the 10-day or 3-week deadlines mentioned in each activity page, please contact the event coordinator of the activity that you are applying for.
Withdrawal Policy
If you wish to cancel your participation in one of our activities, you must do so by email to the event coordinator of the activity.
Online workshops or sessions
Even though most of our activities are free of charge, places are limited. It is therefore important that you inform us as soon as possible if you wish to withdraw, so we can give your place to someone on the waiting list.
Onsite workshops or sessions
Notice of Cancellation | Refund |
---|---|
3 weeks | 100% |
2 weeks | 50% |
More than 1 week but less than 2 weeks | 25% |
Less than 1 week | None |
Transfer Policy
If you are unable to attend, you may request a transfer to another workshop or session. You must submit your request to the event coordinator by email.
Notice required for transfer requests:
- Online workshops or sessions: 3 working days before the start of the original activity
- Onsite workshops or sessions: 2 weeks before the start of the original activity
Your participation in the new activity is subject to availability. Our withdrawal policy remains applicable if no new activity is available and you send us a cancellation request by email. If it is possible to transfer you to a new activity, you will have to pay any additional fees required for enrollment in that activity.
Cancellation Policy
Activity dates, fees and facilitators are subject to change. If an activity is cancelled, the CCHN will refund the tuition fee in full but is not responsible for travel, accommodation, or other expenses incurred by the participant.
Health care Expenses
The CCHN does not cover any health care expenses. All participants are responsible for ensuring that they are in possession of valid and adequate insurance (medical, accident, repatriation, liability and health).
Consent Statement
By attending a CCHN activity and subject to signature of the CCHN’s Multimedia Confirmation of Consent and Release Agreement, I understand and agree that the CCHN reserves the right to take photographs and/or videos, I understand and agree that CCHN has ownership of the photographs and videos and I further grant the CCHN permission to copyright, display, publish, distribute, use, modify, print and reprint the photographs and videos for the purposes of the CCHN’s non-profit activities, notably for display in large format within the CCHN premises, and including (without limitation and without further notice or compensation to participant or attendee) print publications, promotional materials, brochures, website images, other electronic displays and transmissions. I understand that no personal information, such as names, will be used in any publication unless express consent is provided.

Any information we collect remains strictly confidential. Please see our privacy policy. The Centre of Competence on Humanitarian Negotiation (CCHN) will not sell, rent or release personal information to a third party unless ordered to do so by a Swiss or international court of law.

If this is the case, we ensure that our subcontractors and processors apply data protection safeguards that are equivalent to the GDPR or compliant with it, regardless of the location(s) of their server(s).
