This speaker series Geopolitical Realities at the Frontlines, consisting of three online webinars, has been designed as part of the CCHN’s ongoing effort to engage the global community in critical conversations about emerging challenges in complex conflict zones. The series will provide a platform for humanitarian practitioners to discuss the geopolitical dynamics that influence humanitarian work on the ground. 

This Webinar 1: Geopolitical Realities at the Frontlines – Ukraine, oPt and Sudan: Impact on Civilians and Humanitarian Work will provide an overview of the geopolitical contexts of the Ukraine, Occupied Palestinian Territories and Sudan conflicts, examining how global politics shape the realities for civilian populations and humanitarian actors. It will explore the challenges humanitarians face in responding to crises in these politicized environments and the operational difficulties of negotiating and providing aid amidst rapidly changing political dynamics.
