In light of celebrations surrounding International Women’s Day, which is set to take place on Friday 8th March 2024, the CCHN is set to organise a global webinar centred around female humanitarian workers operating in the Ukrainian context.
As female practitioners face distinct challenges and dilemmas in their professional capacities, many of which are linked to their gender, this event will aim to provide key insights into such dynamics, whilst also shedding a light on the best practices, and ways forward, for negotiating humanitarian outcomes as a woman. The event will also seek to highlight how female humanitarians in Ukraine work to strike a balance between their personal and professional lives.
The Centre will be joined by a number of guest speakers, all of whom have had extensive experience of conducting humanitarian work in relation to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. The webinar will enable the aforementioned speakers to share their valuable insights on the topic, as well as their personal stories, whilst also acting as a platform for discussion and further reflection among the participants.
