The Centre fosters a global community of practice among humanitarian practitioners engaged in frontline negotiations. A community of practice is a group of individuals who share a concern or a passion for something they do and learn how to do it better as they interact regularly.

We are also committed to connecting humanitarian practitioners with professionals from other sectors whose missions and strategies intersect with their own: including political mediators who mediate humanitarian agreements between parties to a conflict; government representatives who may influence humanitarian negotiations through their political power; and local NGOs involved in the humanitarian response.
