Event Details

Held during the CCHN World Summit on Frontline Humanitarian negotiation, this simulation will situate a humanitarian response in a fictive disaster zone in order to better understand the unique challenges and dilemmas humanitarian practitioners can expect to face in disaster settings.

Structure and Time Commitment

The simulation will be held on Thursday, 1 July from 6:00 to 8:00 (Geneva time).

Experienced-based learning

Participants will be introduced to challenging negotiation environments and dilemmas, for which the CCHN community has developed tools and methods designed to better understand the negotiation environment.

As a participant you will have the opportunity to apply your understanding of humanitarian negotiation with counterparts such government representatives, security forces, non-state armed groups or communities that you may encounter as you negotiate humanitarian access in disaster settings of Asia.
