WHAT ARE THE SELECTION REQUIREMENTS?
- You should be a member of the CCHN Community of Practice and have completed a CCHN Peer Workshop.
- You should work in Sudan or in a context related to the humanitarian response to the crisis in Sudan (Chad, South Sudan, Ethiopia)

WHAT WILL I LEARN?
We structureΒ theΒ workshopβs program aroundΒ theΒ content ofΒ theβ―CCHN Field Manual on Frontline Humanitarian Negotiation. ByΒ theΒ end ofΒ theΒ workshop, you will have learned:
- Pressure management methods, tools, andΒ theory,
- ToΒ prepare yourself before pressure,
- To react toΒ pressureΒ inΒ the best possible way,
- To recover fromΒ theΒ pressure.
The methodology includes some very practical exercises for self-management: physical movements, breathing techniques, and relaxation.
We also look at some aspects of communication and trust building under pressure and with difficult counterparts.

WHAT IS THE EVENT FORMAT?
This workshop consists of 7,5 hours of content in total, delivered over the course of 3 days with theΒ following schedule:

Day 1 (Tuesday, January 20, 2026): 03:00 p.m. β 05:30 p.m. – Introduction and preparation
Day 2 (Tuesday, January 27, 2026): 03:00 p.m. β 05:30 p.m. – Manage pressure during the stressful situation
Day 3 (Tuesday, February 3, 2026): 03:00 p.m. β 05:30 p.m. – Recover after pressure
βοΈSome physical exercises will be practised; you should be in a suitable environment to move and interact.
To receive a certificate of completion, you will be required to attend at least 80% ofΒ theΒ workshop.
Please note: Our workshops are based on the sharing of participantsβ negotiation experiences. You will be invited to switch on your computer camera and microphone and to (confidentially) share your own stories with the group as a basis for discussion and learning.
