About the Session
In humanitarian negotiations, every word counts. The questions we ask can either create defensiveness—or open doors to new possibilities.
In this session, Heather Cairns-Lee will introduce “Clean Language”, a powerful tool for uncovering underlying meanings without imposing assumptions. Together, we will explore how clean questions can help negotiators:
- Build trust in challenging conversations
- Surface hidden perspectives and needs
- Foster constructive dialogue in high-stakes situations
Drawing on examples and practice, this webinar will give you practical ways to use language more intentionally—so you can create the conditions for clarity, connection, and collaboration.
