Training of Facilitators
Learn to guide your peers through the CCHN negotiation methodology.
About
The Training of Facilitators is only for Community members who have attended a CCHN Peer Workshop on Humanitarian Negotiation. It introduces them to techniques for guiding humanitarian professionals on applying the negotiation methodology developed by us and prepares them to facilitate our modules specifically designed to help professionals conduct humanitarian negotiations in the field. Community members also learn how to use case studies and simulation exercises. The training is available both online and onsite. Once participants have completed it, they are invited to join practice-oriented peer workshops as facilitators.
We collaborate closely with its five Strategic Partners (ICRC, UNHCR, MSF, WFP and HD) to facilitate the participation of national and international staff in the Training of Facilitators.
Curriculum
The online Training of Facilitators consists of four sessions on different CCHN’s negotiation tools and facilitation techniques.
While the onsite training is spread over four days and focuses on how to facilitate effective experiential learning events for humanitarian professionals involved in frontline negotiations.
After completing the Training of Facilitators, either online or onsite, members are invited to co-facilitate sessions during a CCHN Peer Workshop on Humanitarian Negotiation.
Participation Criteria
The Training of Facilitators is open to Community members who have previously attended a CCHN Peer Workshop on Humanitarian Negotiation.
Practical Details
The training itself is free, both online and onsite. Any travel or accommodation costs incurred for onsite training must be borne by the participants. If a community member attends a CCHN Peer Workshop as a facilitator, however, any travel or accommodation costs incurred by his or her participation are covered by the CCHN.
